Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using the Comic Collectors Canada website ("Site"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. About the Site

Comic Collectors Canada is an online community platform for Canadian comic book enthusiasts. The Site provides:

• A search tool to locate specific comic books available from Canadian online retailers.
• An events calendar featuring Canadian comic-related events.
• A newsletter subscription service.
• Community discussion forums, including boards for comic reviews, buy/sell/trade listings, and local meet-up coordination.

Comic Collectors Canada is not a retailer and does not itself sell comic books or process financial transactions.

2. Eligibility

The Site is available to users who are at least 13 years of age. By creating an account, you represent that you are 13 years of age or older. Users under 18 may use interactive features only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

3. Accounts

Certain features require account registration. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your information up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately at info@comiccollectorscanada.com if you suspect unauthorized use. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.

4. Comic Book Search Tool

The search tool queries publicly available inventory data from Canadian online comic book retailers. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of search results, product availability, or pricing. Any purchase you make through a linked retailer is governed by that retailer's own terms and conditions. Comic Collectors Canada is not a party to any transaction between you and a retailer.

5. Events Page

Events listed on the Site are submitted by organizers or sourced from publicly available information. We make no representations regarding the accuracy, safety, or quality of any listed event. Attendance at any event is at your own risk. You are responsible for confirming details directly with the event organizer before attending.

6. Newsletter

By subscribing to our newsletter, you agree to receive periodic email communications from Comic Collectors Canada. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email or through your account settings.

7. Discussion Forums

By participating in our discussion forums you agree to post content that is respectful, constructive, and relevant. You agree not to post content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, threatening, obscene, or hateful, and not to spam, impersonate others, or post another person's private information without consent.

7.1 Buy/Sell/Trade Board

Comic Collectors Canada does not verify the identity or legitimacy of any buyer, seller, or item listed. We are not a party to any transaction and are not responsible for any loss or dispute arising from buy/sell/trade transactions. Users are solely responsible for evaluating item condition, authenticity, and the trustworthiness of the other party.

7.2 Meet-Up Coordination

Comic Collectors Canada does not organize, host, or supervise any meet-up event and is not responsible for any incidents. Members participate at their own risk. Meet in public places and take appropriate precautions.

7.3 Content Moderation

We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to monitor, edit, or remove forum content that we determine violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable.

8. User-Generated Content

By posting content on the Site, you grant Comic Collectors Canada a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reproduce, distribute, and use your content in connection with operating and improving the Site. You retain ownership of your original content.

9. Intellectual Property

The Comic Collectors Canada name, logo, website design, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use our branding or proprietary content without prior written permission. Comic book titles, characters, and covers are the intellectual property of their respective publishers.

10. Third-Party Links and Services

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including Canadian comic book retailers. These links are provided for convenience only. We do not endorse and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party website.

11. Disclaimers

THE SITE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE CANADIAN LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, COMIC COLLECTORS CANADA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED CAD $100.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Comic Collectors Canada and its owners, operators, moderators, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of your use of the Site, content you post, your violation of these Terms, or any transaction or dispute with another user.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ontario. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that province.

15. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Site after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
